My Emma

38 Months + 6 days old. lol  AKA she's 3!

During her 2nd year we saw she was falling behind and after ruling out autism, thanks to a great program "A Step Ahead"  and her wonderful at home teacher she started catching up fast. Now after turning 3 she has started preschool. She sees a speech therapist while at school once a week. She amazes me EVERYDAY!! She now is able to count properly to 6 sometimes 9. Emma is able to point out lots of different colors, even non primary colors like pink and white. All different shapes she'll point out to you..every time we brush her teeth she shows you the oval on her tooth brush. What she is saying is becoming more complex like this morning after asking for juice she then asked for a pink straw. That doesn't sound like much, but it was alot to put together asking for her juice and telling me orange juice over apple juice then asking for a straw but not just any she wanted a pink one. It feels really good watching this all happen. Yesterday when we were watching Go Diago Go, there was apart where they were trying to find this lost animals mommy..and they were looking for the right color eyes to match. She said "No" to all the ones that were not and when the right one finally came she said yes and was quite excited. To most like i said it doesn't sound like much, but for us its WONDERFUL and so exciting. When she is home we always sing our ABC's...which let me tell you she will make you do for hours. We work on getting her counting to a new number. We bought her this book that is dry erase , with the tracing letters. SHE TOTALLY DOES IT!! I mean it looks GREAT!!!! Every accomplishment of hers we feel too. She is a master at art, LOVES to draw. Her drawings have eyes, nose, eye brows, ears, hands, feet, hair..mouth legs, arms... its great.  She is 38inches tall and weighs 32lbs..and absolulty amazing. I love her so much. She is going to be a GREAT big sister. I am very blessed to have her :) She may drive me up the wall sometimes but she is my WORLD.
