to do it or not...

circumcision--

i seriously don't know what to think about it. yes i've  read the male can get infections and all this and that if its not done but for the first two year i am the one ensuring he is clean then i would teach him to clean properly just as i've done with Emma. I've read several arguments regarding the choice being made so the lil one matches his daddy. Theres the argument of it can't be undone but always can be done later. To most women they find it looks better with it being done..

i personally don't care to put him through pain he doesn't need for a cosmetic reason--but Patrick is sorta for getting it done. I only know what i've read so far about it, i will deff be asking the doc 50  million questions about it. Is it still the common thing to do? I want whats best for Logan.. but i'm not sure what that is with this. I guess i have alot of reading to do. Our religion doesn't say we should do it..  is it right to subject a newbown to pain for cosmetic reasons? or justify it for reason of its a bit harder to clean?..do i think of his future and that (assuming its still the popular thing to do) his partner may think it looks better with it done. I wouldn't want him to be ashamed of his private parts.

I guess i just need more info.

  1. Ive heard that there is a cancer that can happen if you don't? I'm not sure because I have never researched it but maybe something to look into. I personally would do it and my doctor told me that you can ask them to numb the area. My friend told me once that her brother wasn't and even though her mom kept it REALLY clean (she is ocd about everything) He still had lots of problems and got infected. So ask around and talk to people who had and haven't had it done and see what they say.

  2. they are increase for the cancer, we did it for other personal reasons
on DH's side the males get this cancer...this reduces the risk for my boys to getting it. the doctors have all said it
but the norm now is NOT to...so he wont be made fun of...but i've met way too many grown men who wished they had had it done when born vs when baby baby
also they numb the area...make sure your doc does it that way...i did

do now if you dont do it while you're there and decide you want to...it's gonna cost you...tricare WILL NOT cover it after that initial hospital stay
